Daniel Crisler is a CrossFit Level 3 Coach and a member of the CrossFit Headquarters Seminar Staff. He conducts seminars and lectures on proper coaching technique and implementation of CrossFit Kids programs in schools and gyms around the world. He is a graduate of Belhaven College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of the Arts in 2008, and has been coaching adults and kids since 2012. He founded Trinity Athletics in 2017 to address educational and health inequity in Dallas public education spaces. He also works as a remote coach for CrossFit Dallas Central, providing program and nutrition services. He lives with his wife, Rae, and daughter, Jillian.
Chase is the owner and head coach of CrossFit Big D. He has been active in the CrossFit community since 2008 and continuously brings his passion for fitness and love of CrossFit to the Big D community. He was a Head Trainer with the CrossFit HQ Level 1 Seminar Staff for over 7 years with additional certifications as a Level 3 Certified Trainer plus certifications in CrossFit Endurance and Olympic Weightlifting. Chase has personally programmed for, hand selected, and coached four teams to the CrossFit Games, and two individuals at the CrossFit Games Regional level.
When he's not coaching, competing, or teaching CrossFit seminars, he can also be heard doing live broadcasting for the CrossFit Opens, Regionals and CrossFit Games on CBS and other outlets. He has also hosted an annual fundraising event for Trinity Athletics since 2018 and has been a strong advocate for Trinity Athletics’ after-school programs since the beginning.
Maria Powell is a biracial, Black yoga instructor in the Dallas area. She graduated from Midwestern State University with her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2017. She then moved to LA and interned in sports medicine, studied holistic medicine, yoga, and psychology. She is now back in Dallas, using yoga as a tool for social consciousness and justice. She is the director of yoga at MVEMENT Dallas and teaches at a Black-owned studio in east Fort Worth.
Stephen Hill is the Founder and CEO of Recycle NOW Texas. Before founding Recycle NOW, Steve came to Dallas as a part of the Teach for America program and worked as a teacher and basketball coach in Southern Dallas from 2009 - 2013. He holds a Master’s Degree in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University and provides business development advice to the board. Steve is a CrossFit Level 1 Coach and often helps coach our after-school programs.
Steven Nguyen is a native Texan from Garland, Texas. He is a Dual-Credit Physical Education Teacher at North Lake Early College High School with Dallas ISD. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University-Commerce with a B.S. in Kinesiology and Sports Studies and is currently a Master of Education in Physical Education student at The University of Arkansas. Steven found CrossFit in 2010 when he was preparing to walk on the football team at TAMU-Commerce. With a newfound love for CrossFit and a love for teaching Physical Education, Steven began to pursue various CrossFit, Nutrition and Strength and Conditioning Certifications to better serve his students and also for students to learn these CrossFit, Nutrition and Strength & Conditioning principles. He also serves as a Chaplain in the U.S. Air Force Reserves and he is married to his best friend and love, Megan.
